Aleardo Pigozzi, inherited the passion for wine from his father Guglielmo, after years of experience as a producer in 2010 he decided to crown his dream by buying some vineyards and founded the Azienda Agricola Monte Pogna.
The family company is located in Sant’Ambrogio of Valpolicella and Aleardo carries on the tradition with the help of his wife Sofia and their sons Massimo and Caterina, who represent the third generation.
The vineyards are located in the Classic Valpolicella in Fumane and Sant’Ambrogio of Valpolicella, have an area of 7.5 hectares and are located entirely in a hilly area at an altitude of between 600 and 700 meters.
At this altitude, the range temperature from day to night, being very marked, allows to obtain very fragrant and elegant wines. The land have a density of 5000/6000 vineyards per hectare and are entirely Guyot and the ground is mainly calcareous / clayey. The grapes are Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and other native grapes in small percentage.
